More than two decades since the events of 9/11, the reverberations of terror continue to impact the daily lives of Muslims across the world. Internationally, imperialist military campaigns sent several Muslim-majority countries into disarray and, domestically, countries like Australia responded socially and legislatively to the attacks as though Islam and its followers threatened the very core of democracy. This reader examines this ongoing legacy, through a personal and political lens.

A Brief History 
of Australian Terror

In this reader, the first in a series, four so-called ‘Australian’ sex workers explore topics pertinent to sex work through a series of essays. Grounded in personal experience, the essays are meditations on shifting power dynamics, intersecting identities such as race and sexuality, and draw upon history and sex worker rights activism.
